What's your implication? That Rahm is gaming the situation? I read that Rush, for one, is supposing that this is a setup. Right now, I don't think so. Freud spoke of "the reality principle", and that's what Rahm is looking at now. He's the Mayor of Chicago, don't forget. It's an old story really, cut someone loose, and they're gone. We'll see!
“75 Grand is not a big salary in Chicago. It is very expensive to live here.”
I’m sorry to hear that. It must be very tough on the average Chicago resident, who makes $47,000 annually.
The $76,000 average salary for teachers does not include their benefit package, which is also better than what the private sector gets.
One quote...
“When the political winds shift, I will stand with the Muslims.”
Where will he stand - in front of two burning embassies and a dead ambassador, perhaps?
Nice Arab Spring you gave us, Obi...
Sorry brother...wrong text for the wrong thread...
Hasty-Pasty on the posty!!!
HA-HA, the title “We are under attack” got you
Did you think Rahm attacked the embassy ? :)
Actually (redfaced over here...) I had multiple pages open, came back from getting coffee, and posted it to the wrong page...
Yeah...I know...f****in’ rookie poster, still...after HOW many years here??? Haha!!
I think you thought Rahm Emanual was leading the attack on the US embassy. :)
“...I think you thought Rahm Emanual was leading the attack on the US embassy...”
Well....if you think about it...would you be surprised if that was in fact the case??? Ha!
It is tough on the average citizen. You have to realize that the figure for the median (like all medians) is dragged down by the large number of welfare recipients whose income is much lower than the median.
I would also like to see the source of this median income number, I know Rush has been making comments about public sector employees which is just inaccurate.
As I have said elsewhere teachers in many, if not most, suburbs are paid significantly higher salaries than in Chicago.
Bus drivers make more.
My guess is most critics (myself included) could not put up with the BS that teachers here have to put up with. The job burns out people very quickly.
Actually, I think the Fairy Princess Mayor was stealthily gamed by the Teachers Union and their allied thugs. The Fairy Princess mayor, never letting a crisis go to waste or letting a ego slight go unpunished, will react viciously in the future. This fight will become brutal with the Fairy Princess mayor calling in favors for other thugs and the judicial and law enforcement thugs. The Fairy Princess mayor does not like to lose!!!!
