Keep in mind these are the same protesters Obama backed during the Arab Spring uprising against Mubarak.
Via CNN:
Angry protesters climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo on Tuesday and hauled down its American flags, replacing them with black flags with Islamic emblems.
The incident prompted U.S. security guards to fire off a volley of warning shots as a large crowd gathered outside, apparently upset about the production of a Dutch film thought to insult the Prophet Mohammed, said CNN producer Mohammed Fahmy, who was on the scene.
An embassy operator told CNN that the facility had been cleared of diplomatic personnel earlier Tuesday, ahead of the apparent threat, while Egyptian riot police were called to help secure the embassy walls.

Before this one, was one Margaret Scobey, another career Foreign Service Officer. She was there from Feb. 2008 until 2011. So it her handiwork with al-Baradei that could bear a little examination.
In May 2011 U.S. President Obama nominated Anne Patterson, a career FSO to be the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt. On June 30, 2011, the United States Senate confirmed Patterson.
Previously President George W. Bush appointed Anne Patterson as the United States Ambassador to Pakistan She served in Pakistan between July 2007 and October 2010.

“Meanwhile, where is Mitt? This is it! He needs to get out in front and nail the Kenyan....he could guarantee his election TONIGHT!”
_______
The problem is that probably 98% of all Politicians on both sides of the fence make the other 2% look bad and Romney is no better. However given the choice between him and the Kenyon Punk is enough to make me Gag. NOV.the 6th is the end of this country if The Punk get another term so Mitt had better get dirty and mean real quick or we as a Nation are finished.

An additional comment. Culturally, you do not send a woman to be ambassador to a muslim country, even one ostensibly “western” as the former egypt.
Just take note of how little was thought of Madeleine “not too bright” and for that matter H. Clinton.
It was also a woman April Glaspie that gave the wrong impression, apparently to Saddamm that US wouldn’t do anything if he invaded Kuwait- or something like that.

The Democrats view Islam with great esteem yet they deny GOD three times. Are they being hypocritical or is alla a nickname for Satan?

Our official response:
"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others"

The Marines are not in charge of perimeter security. The host nation is. They are in charge of the integrity of the chancery: which that is where they were. And they didn’t fire warning shots: it isn’t part of their policy. I was a MSG in Cairo, and they were doing what they were supposed to be doing.
The bigger issue that seems to escape everyone, is that the host nation allowed it to happen: right after the Minister of Defense gets sacked by the new President.

Of interest here is that there had not been a woman as ambassador to Egypt, EVER. Until GW Bush appointed one Margaret Scobey... who up until 2011 was there and sided with the completely wrong people (like al-Baradei) at the behest of obamao.
At the same time she is telling al-Baradei the US will not direct which path Egypt will follow, under obamao’s directions— the US was helping the Muslim Brotherhood (and why? Let’s ask Hillary and her girlfriend).
This is how this crap happens. No strong view of American values presented to these people, to our friends there, and support for who are clearly our enemies.

Dont worry everybody. The U.S. has already apologized. Everything should be okay now. This is the foreign policy Americans support - by double digits in fact. The Obama campaign is actually running aggressively on their foreign policy record. They think it is a winner and pretty much every poll indicates it is the truth. That is how far gone what passes as the American public is these days. We really are outnumbered now by the ignorant, dependent and otherwise useless rabble.

I’d say it is time for a mysterious explosion to destroy the Answan Damn, i.e. a new biblical flooding of Egypt.

More and more I’m convinced half of the mideast population has an IQ of about 75. It may come down to getting the sane people out, walling off these countries, and preventing these troglodytes from ever entering any civilized country.

I'm not buying it. They guard the gate to the place in every video I ever saw. If you're right, and you may be, we need to change the area they are responsible to protect---the flag and whatever area it is flying over---being the area I am talking about. And the wall of the embassies. All the land of the compound inside the wall. When they stick their heads up over the wall, they get killed. No question, no explanation. They'll figure it out on their own soon enough.
No body comes into the embassy, and does this, or attempts to do this, without a shooting fight.
What's the "chancery?" I've never heard this term before. Educate me, please.
