Ok but though this is purely anecdotal, I live in an area that is heavily african american - a majority minority district is what they call it - with many black churches present. In 2008, it was Obummer signs, etc. plastered every where. This year, unless the campaign hasn't gotten the signs out yet (he's been here a few times so far as we are a "swing" state), there isn't even a quarter of the signs, bumper stickers that there was in '08. I think he screwed the pooch when he went all out for "gay marriage"...I think they'll stay home.

Same here. Far fewer Obama signs, and many of them are old. Not many Romney signs either. Fewer than than McCain had. Almost all the Republican signs came down when Palin publicly declined to run this cycle, even the faded ‘W’ signs.

I assume you’re a Virginian?
I’ve noted the same, but not to the same extent. While I don’t think blacks will stay away in large numbers there isn’t the enthusiasm.
