U.S. has no right to block Israel on Iran: Netanyahu
Reuters ^ | 9/11/2012 | Jeffrey Heller

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday said the United States had forfeited its moral right to stop Israel taking action against Iran's nuclear program because it had refused to be firm with Tehran itself.

In comments which appeared to bring the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran closer, Netanyahu took the Obama administration to task after Washington rebuffed his own call to set a red line for Tehran's nuclear drive.

"The world tells Israel 'wait, there's still time'. And I say, 'Wait for what? Wait until when?'" said Netanyahu, speaking in English.

>>If American Jews vote for Bozo again they are idiots!<<

Yea, no kidding. What's up with that?

My prayers go up for the nation of Israel. May her enemies be brought to their knees.

While they are down on their knees, perhaps they would be well advised to repent for setting Mohammad up on a pedestal.

>>I’d hate to see 0bama get a ‘wartime president’ bounce<<

Netanyahu may launch before the election to keep Obozo from getting that wartime bounce and exposing him for his lack of support for the Israeli's.

Secondly, oil prices would spike, causing gasoline prices to rise sharply. This could cause consumers pain right before the election...unhappy consumers, unhappy voters!

Iran has obviously declared war against Israel many times. Remember that Iran also has missiles that can reach London and the Vatican, and no amount of cheerleading from European interests for Iran to destroy Israel will stop Iran from eventually using them.

Iran has threatened on several occasions to launch missiles on US military forces in the Middle East and has bragged about supplying weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan. Iranian leaders have repeatedly said that attacks against the West would bring their “Mahdi.” Iran is trying to take over and control the whole Middle East anyway, so world war involving Iran is inevitable.

Source please.

Bess Truman, by way of my dad -- and everyone else who knew about it in the 50's.

Tried to verify it by checking a history of Zionism that I found in a public library on the returns cart (I was there looking for something else) -- the author verified that the meeting took place, but glossed over what was said.

The author said the gentlemen -- three of them from the AJC and iirc the WJC -- came to reason with Truman, on the basis that if only the President could be acquainted with the facts, he would surely extend the recognition the new Israeli state so desperately needed. He didn't mention the part about the political contributions of the Jewish community going en masse to Tom Dewey instead of HST, if the President didn't come across.

That was the transaction. And Harry was hopping mad and used all sorts of unprintable language afterward, but they had him and they knew it. They got what they wanted.

That's the story. But I'm sure you've heard it.

When has an American president ever refused to meet with Israel? The man running America right now and those in Congress are giving money to Islamic extremists in Egypt.
Our country has NEVER been this OFFBASE. It’s unbeleivable!
ISrael should look at Obama as an evil enemy and so should Americans.
Right now Iran’s leaders are running the WORLD. Russia is backing them,
Sooner or later they WILL take over.
Netanyahu should blast them out of the water before they kill us all.
There will be no election bounce for Obama.
Most Americans KNOW now that he is leading us in the wrong direction and that our destruction is at hand either way unless we kick Obama out and cut Iran down.
And screw Egypt.
Even some republicans like John McCain have gone SENILE where Egypt’s new “rulers” are concerned.
They are our enemies now and they are LAUGHING at us behind our backs while they USE our money.

And what is your proposed solution? That statement is just gibberish. Do you want to nuke 73 million over gibberish ? Iran has done nothing to this country that I am aware of. zero. The issue is do you want to nuke Iran— for what? Would you go invade personally? Can we use all of your money?

Exactly. Have not heard a word mentioned on the talk shows locally, but haven’t been able to listen non-stop. Let’s hope Mitt and Ryan don’t develop Congress’s disease of being struck dumb by this Administration’s antics. Obviously Congressional Republicans should be screaming from the rooftops daily about The One’s Executive Orders and abuse of the Constitution. But noooooo. Not a peep!

* Iran, through Ahmadinejad and other Iranian leaders, has threatened the USA and other countries in the West in many occasions. That's common knowledge. So are the following comments.

* Iran has been building nuclear weapons in preparation to attack the USA and other countries.

* Ahmadinejad has also stated his willingness for Iran to suffer millions of casualties in a war against the West. Iranian leaders don't care about the concept of mutually assured destruction and believe that we will be defeated by their perceptions of magic in their (Muslim) religion.

* Iranian leaders have also stated their intent many times to kill off all non-muslims on the planet.

Those are more than enough reasons to shut down Iran's efforts to build nuclear weapons regardless of the difficulties of efforts required.

* Israel is also the USA's best ally in the Middle East. The USA defends its allies. It's the law.

You didn't write one good argument against shutting down Iran's efforts to build nuclear weapons.

FWIW

Intel From Israel on Whats getting set to Happen in the Middle East

My brother and his family live in Jerusalem - he is a minister - his office is close to one of Israel 's largest underground military bases.

He called me last night which is very unusual - usually it is email.

He called to tell me that he is sending his family back to the US immediately due to what he is seeing happen within the last week and what he is being told by his military contacts in both the Israel and US military.

He said he is seeing with his own eyes military movements the likes of which he has never seen in his 20+ years in Israel .

What he called a massive redeployment and protective tactics of forces is underway.

Over the last two days he has seen anti-aircraft missile deployments throughout the Jerusalem area including 3 mobile units that he can see from his office windows.

In addition, he has seen very large Israeli armored columns moving fast toward the Sinia where Egypt has now moved in Armor.

There are reports of the top military leaders meeting with Israel 's Sr. Rabi which is something that has happened preceding every prior military campaign.

His admonition is to watch carefully and pray for Israel and its people.

He is convinced that barring something extraordinary Israel will attack Iran - with or without the US - and very soon.

It is the belief in Israel that Obama does not stand with Israel but with the Arab countries.

He has told me before that Israel will saber rattle from time to time but that this time is very different from what he is seeing and hearing. He was at the Wailing Wall 2 days ago and there were hundreds of IDF soldiers there. As he was leaving he passed at least 20 military buses full of soldiers in route to the wall.

He has never seen this before either.

Just thought I would pass this along. My brother is not an alarmist by any means.

When he talks like this it gets my attention for sure and usually I find he knows more than he shares.

There are reports that Israel is asking Obama to come to Israel immediately but they are being answered with silence.

My opinion is that I see the making of the perfect storm.
