Who did Akin kill anyway? Who did he attack? Who did he molest?
He uttered some inartful words whose meaning was completely misconstrued, mostly on purpose, for political gain.
“Legitimate rape”? Are you kidding me? That was what set this BS attack off? I was not offended one bit. I know there is no such thing as a legitimate rape. I know that Akin doesn't think there is either. Anyone with half a brain knows that also.
As far as a pregnancy not resulting from a rape for some medical reason, IS COMPLETELY legitimate. There is dispute in the medical community about this. It isn't CRAZY.
So why exactly is the GOP (maybe) THROWING AWAY a Senate seat? Shooting yourself in the foot is not a good strategy.
This course is STUPID! We are jeopardizing a Senate takeover and or a chance to get rid of Obama over THIS?
Where on the list of election issues is rape? Where on the list of election issues is whether a woman's body can prevent a pregnancy when raped?

The Democrats gave the Republicans a club and the Republican dutifully beat Akin almost to death with it.
This Akin situation is ABSOLUTELY the Republican’s fault.

So true, Karl Rove and the elites threw Christine O’Donnel under the bus, and they are doing the same to Akin. I am starting to believe the GOP wants to keep the status quo of big government. I mean Gorge Bush Jr. had a majority in the senate for a time, and George and the Republicans did nothing. Look at all the Democrats have accomplished with the GOP leadership. If Romney wins and sings kumbaya, and how we must work with the Democrats, I am through defending and voting for Republicans!
I live in MO and what killed him was the magic uterus. What people up here took was he think if you are raped and get pregnant, then it wasn’t really rape.
Bottom line is that a lot of people on here seem to be ok with losing the senate if they can feel like they are stcking it to the GOP. I agree with palin who says he should quit, and not claire mccaskill who wants him to stay in.
