I didn't say I agree with it!
I think that's the reasoning.
Though an awful lot of independents
view any sort of negativity from a
presidential candidate as unpresidential. (Even any sort of stridency. Look how many think Gingrich is mean!)
I like you certainly don't but the average GOP voter
and the average independent think differently. They are NOT like the majority of people here.

And Reagan was Reagan there was only one, we are not going to get another. We have what we have.

Having tossed the theory that there are actually independent voters out the door long ago ~ they just don't exist ~ hearing that independents are sensitive to anything is like hearing about Democrats voting the dead.

You fix that by enforcing voting laws, and you forget about these independents. If you can't get Republicans to vote for you how do you expect Democrats to at least stay home?

True; Reagan was unique. But he didn’t pussyfoot around, and he wiped up.

I don’t buy the idea that independents are turned off by straight talk.
