There is merit to that argument but the for the fact the subject of the misspeaking was rape...if it was about taxes, economy, etc. he would have been laughed at and ridiculed by the left and media but not written off. Rape is a considerable more dangerous topic to misspeak on.

And, as far as the rape remark, how about talking to the DNC platform committee about their pro-abortion baby killing party rally.
