Four years ago, Team McCain's sycophants were mumbling the same insistent, zombie drone, all the way up to Election Day.

Yup. It's Groundhog Year. We keep waking up to 2008, over and over again.

Liberal Democrat candidate hand-picked by the Ruling Class, and the 'toss-the-dogs-a-bone' Conservative running mate to hold the base while playing nice with the Marxist - because the Ruling Class says the election will be decided by 'moderates' who will vote for Obama anyway.

Four years ago, Team McCain’s sycophants were mumbling the same insistent, zombie drone, all the way up to Election Day. Just sayin’.

And 4-8-12-16-20-24-30 years ago your sort of Chicken Little sour grapes whiners were squealing the same nonsense you are squealing now. So you got it wrong in 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000 and 2004 but got it right in 1992, 1996 and 2008.

I think you might not want to be so arrogantly certain of your infallibility give your pathetic batting average there slick.

Brute reality intrudes further still:

I’ve worked on many, many campaigns. I’ve witnessed even more than that. There is a common theme. When a campaign is behind, the pollster releases a memo explaining why they really are not that much behind and why there is nothing to worry about. It happened when Rick Perry began to slide. It happened when Newt Gingrich began to slide. It happened when Rick Santorum began to slide. It happened when John McCain began to slide in 2008. It happened when Hillary Clinton began to slide.

This is what campaigns do. I treat each and every one of them as an admission against interest that the campaign polling is going against them.

Yup. To coin a phrase: "It is what it is."
