Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo has been a consistent supporter of legalizing same-sex marriage. In 2011, he filmed his own video backing this Novembers ballot initiative in Maryland and posted it on YouTube, and he recently donated Ravens tickets to a Marylanders for Marriage Equality fund-raiser.
of Emmett C. Burns Jr., a Maryland state delegate who opposes same-sex marriage. On Aug. 29, Burns sent a letter to Steve Bisciotti, the Ravens owner, urging him to inhibit such expressions from your employee and that he be ordered to cease and desist such injurious actions.
Burnss letter elicited an aggressive, searing response from another N.F.L. player, Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe, who said he could not sleep after reading the letter Thursday night because he was too infuriated. So he wrote a profanity-laced response to Burns and submitted it to Deadspin.com.
Your vitriolic hatred and bigotry make me ashamed and disgusted to think that you are in any way responsible for shaping policy at any level, Kluwe wrote, adding later: Why do you hate the fact that other people want a chance to live their lives and be happy, even though they may believe in something different than you, or act different than you? How does gay marriage, in any way, shape or form, affect your life?

Sorry for cutting off the start of the second paragraph which should read, “It caught the attention of”.
An NYT agenda with a few I mean few players and former players express in favor of it.
Well, I tell you what, we better never find the likes of that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo posting here on Free Republic.
No Siree...that dog just don’t hunt around these parts.
They are either GAY themselves, into group sex, or they have a family member who is gay.
Yes, it’s also a whole trend now to prove one is not a “bigot”.
Another reason I stopped watching nfl games.
The fags who dominate the NYT newsroom are ecstatic now that there are a whole TWO players support “gay marriage”. A journeyman linebacker and a punter. WOW! What a groundswell (not).
“Skipping practice in five minutes!”
No Siree...that dog just dont hunt around these parts.
What exactly are you trying to say, Tainan? Your post reads like a roundabout accusation of bigotry.
Good point. They have a way of making you think that little blips are huge groundswells. Have to keep in perspective.

I no longer finance entertainment...no restaurants, cable, movies, sporting events...none. I will not enable the enemy. Funny thing is; I do not even miss any of that stuff. Now if we could only get a few million more conservatives to join us... :-(
... not 100% sure but account has been suspended/banned. Hugs, Mom

“Your post reads like a roundabout accusation of bigotry”.
Why does it sound like bigotry? Free Republic is made up of God loving and fearing conservatives. People who hold the sacrament/definition of marriage as the Judeo-Christian definition (one man, one woman). Any so called freeper that would post in favor of letting two men, two women, a man and a poodle, a woman and a tree marry? Nope... not happening. I stand by my fellow freeper with “that dog just don’t hunt around these parts”.
“How does gay marriage, in any way, shape or form, affect your life?
This guy has no clue. Why not allow brother to marry sister? Or how about allowing two men to marry two woman in a group marriage? Once you redefine marriage, then there is no point in even being married. It becomes meaningless.
Liberalism truly is a mental disease.
I can always borrow Clint movies from the in-laws if the urge strikes... :-)
NFL Diva who probably does the “down low” deviant.
for those in rio linda, down low is when a male engages in deviancy but claims to be straight because of marriage or engaging in normal conduct.
