President Barack Obama's job approval climbed to 52 percent in the Gallup poll for the three-day period of Sept. 4 through Sept. 6, which is the highest Obama's approval has been since the three-day period ending June 1, 2011, when it hit 53 percent.
On Sept. 3, the day before the Democratic National Convention started, Obama's approval had been just 45%.
At the same time, Obama picked up ground over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Last week, according to the Gallup tracking poll of the presidential race, Romney actually lost a point over the course of the Republican National Convention. Romney went from leading Obama 47 percent to 46 percent for the seven-day period that ended on on Aug. 27 to trailing Obama 46 percent to 47 percent for the seven-day period that ended on Sept. 3.
Since Sept. 3, Obama has picked up another point in the Gallup poll while Romney has lost one. Thus, for the seven-day period ending on Sept. 6, Obama led Romney 48 percent to 45 percent.

Hang on ... I’ll be right back with a pic.
Hmm, was that before or after the DOJ threat of a law suit?
The job approval numbers are of “adults” - not even of registered voters. Not even worth mentioning or discussing.
The horse race number is for registered voters.
What does Rasmussen say?

In unrelated news, Axelrod is threatening to sue Gallup.

Is this the same Gallup outfit that the skid mark’s DOJ recently began investigating? What a coincidence.../s
Also, just wait a few days. Obama will stick his foot in his mouth again before too long.
Now the fight begins.
Also, just wait a few days. Obama will stick his foot in his mouth again before too long.
yep.
this also includes both Clinton and Obama speeches but not the jobs report.
with the bad job report out today we will see Obama’s bounce die soon.
Romney actually lost a point over the course of the Republican National Convention
right
Didn’t I just read another story about Obama thugs going after Gallup?
Based on historical trends, Romney will get 80% of undecided so he would still win 52-48 even with this poll.. until Obama gets over 50% on consistent basis, I am not woryying.
I would argue the horse race number is for registered, LIKELY voters as opposed to unregistered, likely voters.
Registered voters, adults blah blah blah, in other words a tie. Funny Obama is now running around acting like he is a foreign policy genius.
Foot in his mouth? LOL
With the job report out today there is no need for that to happen. It should take his job approval down very fast.
