I wonder why she resigned her office? There have been a lot of severely disabled politicians (we had one Congress critter here in Indiana - Julia Carson) who stayed in until they passed away.
Essentially nobody is willing to run against them because that is seen as “nasty”.
The ‘news’ is she kept her seat until she had 5 years in Congress to get all the benefits. I have seen several of her appearances and it does not seem that she can think properly. NOT SLAMMING HER.
