AFTER A week as topic No. 1 in American politics, former Carmel Mayor Clint Eastwood said the outpouring of criticism from left-wing reporters and liberal politicians after his appearance at the Republican National Convention last Thursday night, followed by an avalanche of support on Twitter and in the blogosphere, is all the proof anybody needs that his 12-minute discourse achieved exactly what he intended it to.
President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people, Eastwood told The Pine Cone this week. Romney and Ryan would do a much better job running the country, and thats what everybody needs to know. I may have irritated a lot of the lefties, but I was aiming for people in the middle.
Breaking his silence
For five days after he thrilled or horrified the nation by talking to an empty chair representing Obama on the night Mitt Romney accepted the Republican nomination for president, Eastwood remained silent while pundits and critics debated whether his remarks, and the rambling way he made them, had helped or hurt Romneys chances of winning in November.
But in a wide-ranging interview with The Pine Cone Tuesday from his home in Pebble Beach, he said he had conveyed the messages he wanted to convey, and that the spontaneous nature of his presentation was intentional, too.
I had three points I wanted to make, Eastwood said. That not everybody in Hollywood is on the left, that Obama has broken a lot of the promises he made when he took office, and that the people should feel free to get rid of any politician whos not doing a good job. But I didnt make up my mind exactly what I was going to say until I said it.

Pure Clint Eastwood is really refreshing.
Do we have our new Charlton Heston??
“President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”
This one sentence sums up Obama more accurately than everything ever said or written about him before.
The media is most responsible for creating and sustaining this hoax.
That will send the lefties into another shrieking tailspin. Woo hoo.
Go Clint.
God Bless Clint Eastwood. He made my day by putting the snit nosed punks in their place.
” Do ya feel lucky, punk? “
” c’mon, ya liberal punks. Make my day! “
I bought a copy of the book NO EASY DAY and I started reading. It was hard for me to put it down...These guys are incredible...line after line, word after word, and thoughts after thoughts. I highly recommend this book to read and keep historically in your library.
Not until he holds up a rifle and shouts "From my cold, dead hands!" LOL!
Clint is not nearly as conservative as Charlton Heston.
What amazes me is that everyone on every side complains about interviews and speeches (even in other fields) being so bland and “managed”, yet when a coach or a person giving a speech does something outside the norm, they get killed for it. So it winds up reinforcing the very thing people say they don’t like.
President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.
Clint Eastwood
Exactly! Obama went to Indonesia as a young American. He returned to Hawaii in 1971 as an Indonesian. Later, he naturalized to become an American citizen in 1983. His ineligibility for POTUS, due to his naturalized status, makes him a puppet of the right and the left.
Eastwood’s glorious ‘maleness’ sends the lily liver’ed, the politically correct whining and moaning into spasms of recrimination.

We have Dirty Harry, they have dingy harry
We have Clint. They have Clintigula.
Romney and Ryan have got to be laughing their a$$e$ off.
If you have time read the whole article. It is more like reporting than what we see now. Not fawning, factual and interesting.
If it was all extemporaneous, and I believe it was, he did a great job.
Two lines that may stay with us and I hope registered with someone who is undecided:
“You / We own this country.”
“When someone is doing a bad job you’ve got to let him go.”
Where are those naturalization documents?

Both Slick and Eastwood BOTH saying Obama is the biggest fairy tale ever!
Time will tell but I think Clint’s shtick ultimately will turn out to be the stake through the Obama administration’s heart, in spite of all the snarking from the leftist media. I have a feeling it resonated with the non-political, even those who didn’t see but heard about it.
