To be honest, there are so few stay at home moms, I think it would be statistically insignificant. Mine was one for a few years.

You must be living on one of the coasts. Out here in “fly-over” country, there are still a reasonable number of stay-at-home moms. Not like back in the ‘70’s or earlier, but enough that it would matter to the percentage of the total working-age population counted as unemployed in a fair accounting.

Lots of us “stay-at-home” moms hold little jobs on the side too, just to keep our foot in the workforce.
I’m a school crossing guard, just so I can say that I’ve been employed for X number of years when I DO go back to work.
After the election when there are jobs to be had.
