President Barack Obama, transformed from inspiring hope-and-change candidate into struggling stay-the-course incumbent, promised Americans wary of giving him another term that "our problems can be solved" if only they will grant him four more years.
"Know this, America: Our problems can be solved," he told thousands of delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. "Our challenges can be met. The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place. And I'm asking you to choose that future."
His appeal aimed to build on a rousing speech from Michelle Obama and former president Bill Clinton. The first lady assured disenchanted voters who backed her husband in 2008 but are wary or wavering today that four years of political knife fights and hard compromises had not stripped her husband of his moral core. And Clinton cast the current president as the heir to the policies that charged the economy of the 1990s and yielded government surpluses.
"I won't pretend the path I'm offering is quick or easy. I never have," Obama told the cheering crowd in the Time Warner Cable Arena and a television audience expected to number in the tens of millions. "You didn't elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear. You elected me to tell you the truth. And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over a decade."

After 4 years and $5.3 trillion spent there is not one single economic measurement that is better for average Americans then when you took office.
You tired, you failed, you are fired.
Sometimes despite all his handling, he just makes the mistake of saying what he really thinks.

We can solve the problem alright: you leaving the White House on January 20, 2013 after Mitt Romney beats you on November 6, 2012.

This man is f’ing nuts. Seriously, Barack Obama is schizophrenic . He’s campaigning as if he is someone else now and the disaster he’s been as president for the last four years has been someone else. Seriously, isn’t it time that Congress call for a test of his mental competency to continue in office?
The real problem with the speech was that obama was posing as an American President in the great American tradition, trying to solve American problems (especially the lack of jobs and the decline of the middle class) for Americans.
But we all know that obama was raised overseas and/or in Hawaii for the first 18 years of his life by a mother, grandparents, and mentors who despised everything American, and that he never rebelled against his internationalist/Marxist/radical/pro-muslim upbringing.
obama is NOT an American, and he is working to bring America down. Vote Romney/Ryan, and don’t vote for a single Democrat for other offices, either!!!!

HIs speech seemed to be aimed at people who haven’t been paying attention and have below average intelligence... your average Democrat. The question is whether the people who haven’t made up their mind yet in the swing states fit that description also.
Ask any democrat why they are socialist and you will see fire in their eyes!... they will be highly offended!...almost fighting words to them.....It amazes me the length they will go to disavow their socialist beliefs........It is almost like a mental block or disease....How is this possible?????...it defies logic

Well, Obama has got to convince voters in fifty-seven states he deserves another term. Tall order!

Even if he wins the presidency again, he’s going to be stuck with both houses of Congress in R hands.
It’s a 4 year stare down. While the sharp toothy parts of Obamacare come into effect, making life hard for every employer.

Never once did he mention high taxes, deficit spending and American decline.
Of course he had to say it but every one knows Obama’s heart is not really in it. He’s not stupid and knows if he revealed his true beliefs and had to run on his record, he would lose the election.
Now he has to pray the American people buy what he’s selling to them to get that coveted second term in office.

He must think the rest of us are stupid... what to say of a guy who gave us more debt in four years than all the previous Administrations in American history combined and millions of people are out of work.
If his policies worked, heck he wouldn’t need to ask us to accompany him to “a better place.” It would be self-evident.
