All those "free" offers work that way. The first thing they ask is a credit card number to pay for postage and handling. I fell for that once. The next thing you hear is "Your credit card will be billed $NNNN a month . . . ."

To be fair.. that company had a number to call that came with the "free" product to cancel if you did not like the product. And they did cancel with no problem. The radio airwaves are full of those -- now they are referred to as studies or something free for those who "qualify".
