It's not really like inventing stories ~ they demanded money. That's a crime all by itself that DOES NOT DEPEND ON THE TRUTH OF THE EVENT.

Title 18 USC has something in there about that ~ there are, as it turns out, NO NEW ways to steal. Crooks have thought of all of them several times, which is why we invariably have laws against whatever it is they are doing.

Romney can't let these guys get off lightly ~ the crime is against the rest of us as well.

Same as that Rove thing. It's not really up to Akin to forgive him and forget about it. There's a real crime and it must be punished!
