CHARLOTTE Sure, blame the bad weather.
Democrats scrapped plans today to have President Obama accept his partys nomination in the 74,000 seat Bank of America stadium citing forecast thunderstorms as convention planners scrambled to avoid ticking off disappointed ticketholders.

Hard for me to understand why someone would be dissappointed.
Democrats aren’t playing with full seabags.
Sounds good. If thunderstorms weren’t predicted for the Charlotte area it would sound better.
No balloons for Obama’s party. Maybe rain down condoms upon the instead. What kind of party without balloons and confetti? Obama has to be pissed.

The guy who was going to stop the rise of the oceans now can’t even fend off a few raindrops.
Its the south and humid..EVERYDAY is a chance of scattered showers...all summer long. No excuse, you need to read up on this. They can’t fill the stadium. Period.
Democrats will rain down condoms and food stamps on their freak show attendees instead.
Obama’s ego is SO big that he would rather move it indoors and have the arena full than be in a big arena and have empty seats..Obama is ALL about himself, always has been..but I guess when your used to having the media lick your ass for 4 years your ego can become pretty huge
I have read up on this and I am well aware that they cannot fill the stadium. Moreover, I was raised in the south, I don’t need you or anyone else telling me what the weather is like there. Thunderstorms are expected in the Charlotte area Thursday night and that is a fact. This story would mean more if they weren’t.
Why even pick at the story though? You just said YOU KNOW that they couldn’t fill the stadium and that’s why they moved it?
Whats your point and nay saying the story? If you know that this is typical weather in NC, the DNC had to know as well right? What’s a small chance of scattered showers mean if 70 plus thousand had tickets to come?
I live in Mobile AL and all summer long there’s a 20% chance of rain/thunder storms every day.....to us living down here, 20% means not much of a chance....no doubt why this “coronation” was moved from a 70,000+ football stadium to an arena holding a little over 20,000.....guess they couldn’t fill up those buses they’ve sent to SC, GA and all over NC trying to gin up a wildly cheering audience of adorers.....
What's your point in trying to deny that the story would have more meaning if inclement weather was not expected?
I deal with facts, you choose to ignore them. Have at it.
guess they couldnt fill up those buses theyve sent to SC, GA and all over NC trying to gin up a wildly cheering audience of adorers.....
Just an FYI:
Looks like the DNC forgot to pull their You Tube ad with the empty stadium announcing the upcoming Obama speech. I’ve seen it several times this AM.
