Sorry remembered that after posting. Then got called away...Hunted for that years ago...Don’t have any ancestry accounts. So I really do not know. Just that the were both from the “Friends Plantation Area” in the Carolina’s and even that has disappeared.

The Michelle-B. Hussein hook-up was masterminded by Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn (she worked at the firm despite not being a member of the bar.) Bill was just a "guy from the neighborhood." He did get B. Hussein some highly paid jobs, served on a couple of boards with him, and actually wrote "Dreams of My Father."

I think you might be off base on that point. They were both recommended to that firm by the same black radical professor at Harvard, I forget his name. Michelle first, and then Barry a couple years later. Before that, they were both doing the usual campus radical routine supporting that guy and his cronies.
Barry lived in Chicago for a few years before he went to Harvard, so he may well have been cronies with Ayers and Dohrn before going there, but I don’t think they were responsible for putting them together. I’m of the opinion that they met at college, but saying that they met during a sit-in in support of affirmative action is not the kind of fairytale story that plays well in politics, so they just made up another one. We know they’ve been caught doing that plenty of times in the past, and they’ve even tripped up on their “when we first met” stories before.

The incestuous nature of the whole movement is quite amazing. It was Michelle, reportedly, who got Ayers to write "Dreams," when it became apparent that B. Hussein couldn't handle the writing assignment himself (guy never could write).
Suffice it to say that the two couples were all but joined at the hip.
