The media will now tell us how disappointed the “throngs” of supporters are with the decision to move this “event” indoors. We’ll probably see shots of lines of the party faithful clamoring to get into the basketball arena to see their Dear Leader.

National Weather Service - Charlotte, NC Thursday —

Thursday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Boy that sure sounds scary !

If they're handing out free stuff, sure. If they're not, expect the streets to be empty.
