The Brody File has calls into DNC to explain why Gods name has been dropped from the platform. Some critics will suggest that when you have planks in your platform that support abortion rights and gay marriage then it's no wonder that God's name would be dropped as well.

God is no longer a part of the Democrat platform?
Kind of like Lot, as the last god-fearing person to leave Sodom.
All signs are continuing to point to 12-21-12 as not just another day when the Mayan stone-cutter walked off the calendar job and said, "That's enough."

Of course.
Communists hate the mention of God.

Dems dropped God a long time ago. They are just now getting around to making it formal.

Most of you all are missing the point. This is another step towards communism. Like the Soviet Union and Red China before them, the Democratic Party wishes to eliminate God and the church and have the people worship the communist party leaders instead.
The stakes in this coming election have never been higher.

Harry Reid just said, “Trust through transparency” and “Who is Mitt Romney?.. But America knows Barack Obama!” WTF? Am I living in a reverse parallel universe or what?
To: rightwingintelligentsia
I find it interesting that they specifically mentioned the “middle class” in the 2012 platform but not in the 2008 one. It’s as if Rats subtly are saying there’s something wrong with using that not-God-given-potential-according-to-them to be so successful that you move ABOVE the middle class.

Number of times God appears in party platforms - 2008 vs 2012 (by my count)
Republican Platform (2008) 2
Republican Platform (2012) 10
Democrat Platform (2008) 1
Democrat Platform (2012) 0

This is actually one of the things that I like about the cultural left: their increasing honesty about being who they are and demanding their due.
Cutting "God" out of the platform is strictly for internal consumption: forcing the government-dependent segment of the Democratic Party, many of whom believe themselves to be religious or even "conservative", to swallow their pride and admit the terms of the bargain they've struck.
I consider this to be a clear positive for conservatives because it means that the cultural left at least can, if not necessarily will, stand up to the economic left in matters of importance. The cultural left is (in many cases, literally) sterile and has very limited ability to hurt anyone outside of their immediate surroundings; the economic left can wreak havoc near and wide.
