I don’t know. Maybe some of them will lose heart....I hope.
Part of it involves people making their livelihood from things which depend on the Left retaining power. Non-profits and academics dependent on government grants. Affirmative action beneficiaries whose income would be cut dramatically if they had to compete on merit. These will want to take down Trump and the Right, because we threaten their income and status.
