No worries. I'm planning for something different.
One critical event that could really hyper-escalate the chaos and carnage: regional loss of power, by the downing of a utility pole or something flung into the many exposed substations.
P.S. Much of the fiber laid in the 1990’s lays dormant. Much of it connects to nothing having been laid into areas with anticipated connections to other fiber networks but those networks were never laid. There are those little amplifier buildings all over the place with weeds growing around them and stacks of fiber and other equipment just rusting and sitting there. Billions and billions of investor dollars from the DotBomb era lay wasting in the ground.
BTTT for later reading.
Thanks, Travis.
They won’t starve to death. Not sure where you could find it, but disaster preparedness has been developed to very high levels in our Federal government but even more so in our State governments. Every state can run their own operation.
There are also very large NGOs that would play a part, the grocery industry has one for instance. It is an awesome operation during times of disaster.
“they did not believe that others would help them at all. They were surprised and kept wondering at it.”
Thousands of private aircraft owners flew missions in relief effort on their own dime. The coordination was massive and amazing. They started flying immediately after the storm passed. So, there was a massive armada of aircraft flying in relief supplies to all points throughout a 500 mile radius of the coast.
For later reading. Matt if you have an official CW2 Ping list, I’d be interested in being added to it please. Loving book 2 so far.
It falls to us then, to make sure that the right eggs get broken.

That’s exactly what disaster response looks like in the US. Awesome from any angle.
Okay. I work for an Alphabet Agency and I am aware of the plans. There is definitely some stored food (freeze-dried/MRE-style). However, enough to last everyone, a year? No.
And regionally, especially the cities, there will be enough disorder to prevent effective distribution. Further, if the government collapsed due to lack of money to keep the EBT cards running... how are they paying their people to distribute the stores? Without people to distribute, how does the food get to them?
Look, it's clear I won't be able to sway you. I get that. Perhaps it is your own personal lack of preparation that subconsciously motivates you?
So, sincerely meant, best of luck to you.... I'm taking a different approach.
There were also many, many men who drove RVs and large trucks into the disaster area and started cooking up barbeque for the people in the damaged area from Katrina.
Many of them had to chainsaw their way in.
Yup. When one area is damaged, people from the undamaged areas are quick to help.
When, however, MANY (or even MOST) areas are damaged......
Thieves also rushed in to help relieve the affected from the burden of their possessions.
Some even come bearing food and water as disguise.
One lady I know had their boat stolen before the wind had even died down after the hurricanes here in FL.
When I worked in the food distribution industry Hugo hit. Before Hugo made land we had 600 very full trucks sitting behind the Smoky Mountains waiting for the hurricane to hit and go on its way.
When the winds died down, the trucks went in and fed the people.
Very impressive.
If enough of the right entities...like the Black Panthers...threaten this, it may be just the thing Obama needs to suspend elections in November. Probably not...but I put nothing past this current administration.
This "deluxe" latex Communist Community Organizer mask is $27.50. I'm okay with the feds using the facial recognition software - that will lead to an arrest of the thug responsible for any urban riots.

Ping.
Without an election, the office of the president is legally vacant after 11:59 a.m. on January 20th. If Obama tries to hang on to power past then, he’ll need a lot of luck.
Where will they get the food? The weeds growing in the cracks of cement?
Sporterized Enfield. Nice!
