Your policies have already impacted the prices, can’t you leave bad enough alone?

So I read the eye-opening article, "Supermarket Shopping 101" and then priced the grocery list for 7 nights of meals using Safeway's online shopping cart (Southern California prices). It came to about $120. I thought, that's not bad for a week of meals. When I told my Dear Husband (who, bless him, does most of the grocery shopping) he asked, "Does that include drinks?" No. Or breakfast? No. Lunch? No. Snacks? No. Pet food? No. Chocolate????

I also noticed the meals were not really all that healthy and included white rice, pizza dough and pasta, tinned products and only three meat/fish protein items (a whole chicken, a small salmon filet and chicken sausage). The vegetables were green beans and corn which don't have much nutritional value.

Conclusion: Fail
