LOL! Funny thread.
Strange..doesn't look like Black church members and somewhat dressed up for college students...Note: none of the supporters were available for comment.
As I noted on another thread, there’s an Obama event worth watching in Norfolk tomorrow—but on for the turnout. The Anoited One is holding a campaign rally at Norfolk State University, the region’s largest historically black college.
But Obama won’t be appearing at the campus football stadium (which seats about 30,000), or the basketball arena (which has at least 7,000 seats). Instead, it’s going to be an outdoors event.
Believe me, Zero wouldn’t have any trouble getting permission to hold the rally at one of the sports arenas, but instead he’s going outside, for a very good reason: even on a black college campus, with students back for the fall term, he’s worried about his ability to draw a crowd. With an outdoor event, you can cram people into a relatively small area and create the appearance of a larger crowd.
Also worth noting that Obama is ignoring the campus crowd at Old Dominion University, located less than 10 miles away. If Obama wanted to demonstrate his “popularity” in Hampton Roads (and among the college crowd), why not have a joint event for ODU and NSU, which could be held at the ODU stadium or the Ted Constant Convocation Center, which seats over 9,000.
The media will likely brag about the “big” turnout for Obama tomorrow, but it’s safe bet that Zero will attract a much smaller crowd than the Ryan announcement in downtown Norfolk a few weeks ago.
That’s now *iconic*. Thanks, Clint!
