OK...the subject of the piece is bad enough...
But..without reading all 100 replies...has anyone other than me become more disturbed and shocked by the fact that....
The freakin secret service rented a UHAUL?!?!? My god...I work for a small traveling millwork install biz..and we have the good sense god gave a billy goat to spring for an actual “Commercial” rental truck when it’s needed.
I mean...Uhaul is ok for hauling someones personal junk from one end of town to another...but for hauling $20,000+ worth of millwork, granite, tools, suitcases, and laptop bags 800 or so miles away....on a very time sensitive schedule....it’s worth the extra 10 bones a day for the commercial rental truck. (We actually come out cheaper with the better truck rental co due to volume).
Not to mention...it would be a total buzzkill on our professional reputations to pull up in a brightly colored Uhaul on the jobsite...versus the other...which looks like any generic box truck.
If a Uhaul makes us look unproffesional.....Imagine how embarrased some shotcaller is right now after getting an epic beatdown cussout from his betters....who read all the hilarious internet jokes circulating amongst every intel and diplomatic group...in the world.
Oooohh...I’m off to create some very clever Uhaul flyers and fax them to every three letter agency fed.gov has.
I'm just surprised they weren't using a Chevy Volt. The government is lousy with them.
