Via Daily Caller:
A document the National Education Association filed with the U.S. Department of Labor in 2011 indicates that the teachers union donated $100,000 to Media Matters For America nearly two years ago, describing it as a payment for public relations costs. In the months that followed, Media Matters online coverage of teachers unions increased, focusing largely on attacking the Fox News Channel and other media outlets it considers conservative in nature.
The $100,000 payment was first documented in Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind, a book by Citadel international politics professor Mallory Factor published on August 21.
[T]o ensure that NEAs agenda makes its way in the media, Factor wrote, NEA has given $100,000 to Media Matters, the George Soros-funded liberal charitable organization dedicated to targeting mythical right-wing media bias.
The Daily Caller has obtained an electronic document verifying Factors claim. It is available on a website operated by the Department of Labors Office of Labor-Management Standards.
The data is from the Labor Departments LM-2 form, a disclosure required whenever a union disburses $5,000 or more to an outside entity. In one such 2011 filing, the NEA reported paying Media Matters $100,000 and referred to it as a political organization.
Complicating matters for the teachers union is the fact that the same report categorized the $100,000 payment as a union administration cost instead of as a political expenditure.
Two more labor unions also reported in 2011 that they had made contributions to Media Matters: The AFL-CIO gave $10,000 and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees gave $5,000. Both categorized their respective donations as political activities.
I’m shocked!
And they do it to us with our own money.
They don’t have a generally accepted (GAAP) account called “propaganda” or “muck raking”, so PR is “good enough for government work”.
A Commie union funding a Commie disinformation organization. This is disgusting, but surprising? No way,Jose.
Now days these clowns keep calling themselves “advocates for the children”. I always want to ask who appointed them to that duty?
Mrs. 40 is a retired teacher. When she was still working she received the NEA’s monthly rag called “NEA Today”. I enjoyed writing letters to that publication calling them on their false representation of America’s children and daring them to print them. They never did.
From endowments, to the pacs to the media to the unions to the White House, incest runs rampant. You need a program to follow it all.
Here's an idea, since the left loves abortion, maybe they should start with their incestuous circle of friends.

Just a note; I read Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom and Katie Cruise is to be attending some sort of global school or that’s what it sounds like. She doesn’t like Scientology so she throws her kid into world government. Way to go Katie.
The global is still trying to educate and steal our kids.
So am I. It isn't like them at all to file such a report.
I think he said it so I use it. Use at your own risk.
I was going for a hike with my wife back in 2010, and came across a brand spanking new welcome center at at state park up here in Massachusetts. It was in Sudbury, one of the wealthiest towns in the state. The new facility was closed, but it was clear no expense had been spared. There were actually Herman Miller chairs, fine granite or stone floors, only the best. Here is a picture I took on the day I first saw it:
As I looked at this, with that "your recovery dollars at work" sign, I got damned angry, with all that was going on, so I tried to find out how much money had been spent on this "welcome center".
I tried and tried, and never did find out. But in the process, I found a website the purported to show how the stimulus money had been spent in Massachusetts.
I started digging around in that site, and it was difficult to get data, but interestingly, you could download tons of data by fiscal quarter in Excel spreadsheets. So I downloaded as much data as it would let me, and I dumped it all into one spreadsheet where I could sort to get things to kind of group together.
When I did, I saw these groups of payments to "MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH", and thought "What the heck is this money for? So I did a Google search, and guess what? Minuteman Nashoba Health provides heath care benefits to teachers.
One of the wealthiest municipalities in Massachusetts (sixth place in per capita income) was taking stimulus money to pay for health care for teacher's unions. This was just two fiscal quarters in Massachusetts, stimulus money going to pay for teacher's unions healthcare:
FY 2010 Q2
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH Health Insurance premiums for district employees
$1,184,601
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH School employees health insurance payments (Apr-Jun)
$382,238
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH GROUP 4th quarter FY09 health insurance premiums
$265,251
FY2010 Q3
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH School employees health insurance payments (Apr-Jun)
$382,238
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH Health Insurance premiums for district employees
$1,184,601
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH GROUP FY10 health insurance premiums
$183,765
MINUTEMAN NASHOBA HEALTH GROUP 4th quarter FY09 health insurance premiums
$265,251
MINUTEMAN-NASHOBA HEALTH GROUP Health Insurance Trust
$241,820
MINUTEMAN/NASHOBA HEALTH Emp por health insurance premiums for school employees
$188,029
This isn't chump change. This is real money that you and I paid in taxes, going directly into the pockets of Teacher's Union Members. (Going into their pockets, because THEY don't have to pay them out of their own pockets.)
I then went through the entire spreadsheet and assigned categories to each line, then sorted it and did a pivot table. These were the top four items that Sudbury used stimulus money for between March 2009 and February 2011:
The mechanism by which teachers unions can set money aside from various buckets it is in is not known to me, but I know this much: My tax money is supporting teacher's unions, and those teacher's unions are giving that same money (whether from dues, from an account used to pay operating costs or whatever...I don't give a crap which "bucket" they put it into) to liberal politicians and liberal institutions like this idiotic "Media Matters".
This is only $100K. Just imagine how much of it is being skimmed off and shuttled back to liberal politicians and causes THAT WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT BECAUSE IT NEVER SEES THE LIGHT OF DAY.
It is stuff like this that makes me angry enough to understand how the American Colonists felt back in 1775.
See my post at #16.
Did I miss how much the welcome center cost? Was it $100k?
...makes me angry enough to understand how the American Colonists felt back in 1775.
We had a king then too.

I never did find out, but it is my guess that your guess is off by a factor of ten...
It was too byzantine to figure it out.
Yeah. The only difference is that the King of England was trying to do what was best for his county.
