Cash For Clunkers was a big reason for this rise in Used Car prices.Even taking that into account, CarMax was still overpriced, IMHO.

One thing I have been wondering. If the goobermint is responsible for all the business successes, doesn’t that also mean that every failed business is the goobermint’s fault? That steel company they keep trying to hook to Mitt, wouldn’t that be their fault?

By contrast, says Mr. Ligon, Mitt Romney, who headed up one of America's most successful equity firms, knows nothing about the economy and job creation. "[Romney] has said nothing that gives a businessman like me confidence that he knows how to move the economy forward." Hahahahah. This CarMax former CEO has lost it.

Does this mean he’s volunteering to pay the 75% personal income tax on the wealthy?

I just dont understand business owners who associate their businesses with a political stand once side or the other. What is there to gain? Not having your tax returns questioned?

The reason he gives you a discount if you pay cashbis because he doesn’t report it and pay taxes for it. No surprise he’s voting for Obama. He doesn’t fall in the high tax brackets because he cheats the system. Just like an Obama supporter. The erest of us that are honest get slammed by the federal IRS Mafia

Bailouts? Personal perks? Access to the halls of power? Tax credits? It is a wonder.
Since he's only a co-founder, wonder what the other co-founder(s) think of him weighing in on what may well be the losing incumbent president's side.
I've considered using CarMax in the future, maybe not so much now.
I wish business would stay politically agnostic.

Damn, and I was going to look at CarMax for my next vehicle.
Oh well. Plenty of other places to buy cars....
Screw you CarMax, you’ll not get my business again. (Two cars ago I bought a Toyota from them...)

“[Romney] has said nothing that gives a businessman like me confidence that he knows how to move the economy forward.”
LOL! This guy is FOS (and probably knows it!). Whatever weaknesses Romney has as a candidate, his ability of running a successful business is undeniable. Yep, Mr. Ligon has definitely lost it.

For over 40 years, most of the cars we’ve owned were used, purchased from private citizens.
Whatever the reason, those cars turned out to be very good purchases for us, and lasted for years.
