Or, as I’ve been saying for months, Mitt may be a conservative trapped for a while in liberal clothing in Massachusetts.

That's my take as well. He seems to have a great family life, 5 kids, 18 grandkids. They tried to define him early on as an evil capitalist and it is not working any more. Smart strategery to let obama spend all his money up front. I also think they shouldn't shy away from touting unemployment under President Bush as being in the 5.4 range throughout his presidency. It didn't go up to 7 percent until the real estate collapse. And as far as that goes, they also need to point out who controlled congress and the bankings committees during Bush's last two years and they need to remind people about Cuomo and HUD and tell it like it is. They need to set this part of Bush's record straight once and for all.

People, Stop “projecting”. Better to wait and have positive proof Mittens is a conservative.

We do not need another Bush type Supreme Court appointment.

Just for funzies, let's give Mitt the benefit of the doubt on a couple of troubling issues.

Pro-abortion in Massachusetts. Suppose he didn't believe it but had to triangulate to win the Gov's job. Slimey, but typical politician.

Romneycare. Legal. Once endorsed by such groups as the Heritage Foundation, based on the idea of asking everyone to contribute, eliminating the free riders. Good intentions. We now know it doesn't work even on the state level, and on a federal bureaucracy level would be a nightmare.

Immigration. I don't recall, but believe he wants to build a fence, and then go from there to redo the work visa policies, etc.
