Eastwood's speech got me thinking. He is not a conservative on most things. Not even close.

This was a career ending move. Now, at his age, that doesn't matter as much, but he will loose parts for it. He will also start to draw flak from the right for his liberal views on gays, abortion, etc.

I don't really know why he did it, other than he must REALLY hate Obamma

Anyone who loves this country feels the same way as Clint Eastwood.

Like many who served in the armed forces and grew up with depression era memories, Eastwood has seen unemployment and what it does to the country. I think his plea was simply based on who will do best for providing jobs to Americans.

Eastwood won’t “lose parts” - he’s been a producer and director of his own films for more than two decades - he gave himself parts.

This was a career ending move.

Eastwood has long since achieved the status of legend. He needs the approval of no one. His career will not end because of his remarks last week; it will end if, when, and in the manner he chooses. Until then, he will go right on creating roles for himself, both in front of and behind the camera. No one can touch him. He is an American icon.
