Democrats spent $1.5 million to help Akin win (3 times what he spent himself!)
I dislike them both, but Akin can be replaced by anyone and they would crush McCaskill. Who will we "replace" Rove and his $300 million with?
Rove spends his TV time to bash Republican conservatives, he is not on our side.
Rove doesn’t have 300 million. He’s simply a money collector from donors. American politics will not stop when Rove passes from the scene. He’s simply one more guy with his hand out.
Akin, on the other hand, is a conservative running for a slot in a state that has regularly voted conservative.
The polls I’ve been seeing say he is recovering from a political witchhunt led by his own teammates.
And all that money comes with with strings attached that transforms conservatives into RINOs.

Because they knew that he was too conservative for the GOPe and that they would try to replace him afterwards for some faux pas, and in doing so alienate a whole lot of the GOP base. And they were right.

It's not Rove's $300 million. He is replaceable.
