When I watched it, I thought it was poor. My wife, who’s very liberal, also thought it was poor.You thought it was poor because you didn't recognize it was a parody of a Jimmy Stewart character from the 1950 movie "Harvey." Check the link I just posted to a YouTube video from that movie....

Also his Thespian bow at the end of the skit is further proof of his character... Clint is a Character Actor... and a great Director to boot.
