Hmmmmm.
This election is going to be all about base turnout. Where I’m at there is zero and I do mean zero enthusiasm for these candidates. To give you an idea of what its like, I’m in Virginia. There have been ads on for months. You can’t turn on a TV or radio and not have someone telling you why you need to vote for willard or hussein.
But the silence is deafening. No one is talking about the election.
Just for fun, I went around my neighborhood to count lawn signs and bumper stickers. There are roughly 150 houses in my neighborhood.
There were no lawn signs. Not one.
There were 5 bumper stickers. Two for hussein, one for Rick Santorum, and two Virgil Goode stickers (my cars).
That’s what willard is facing.
I bet the ones with the Hussein stickers are happy to see the ones with the Goode stickers.
Well, if it’s any consolation I passed by my first Romney shirt on the Upper East Side last week. :)
Well, I don’t know about Virginia, but here in Maine, I drove along a two-lane state highway through two rural coastal towns in Eastern Maine a few days ago. There were no lawn signs.
Today, I drove through the same area, and I spotted at least a dozen Romney lawn signs in front of at least a dozen different homes. I didn’t see any lawn signs for any other candidates.
