Actually, that one ALMOST makes sense, but in the way she intended.

If the Federales didn’t seize so much of our income, and redistribute it, or threaten to regulate our freedom out existence, we could safely ignore it most of the time. And, prior to say 1914 (when the Income Tax Amendment was approved) you pretty COULD ignore it. Not any more...
