....Karl Rove has repeatedly tried to push the crazies out of the Republican PartySarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell got subtle nudges, for examplebut with Todd Akin, the Senate candidate in Missouri with odd theories about rape, Rove is giving more of a shove. Right over a cliff. Bloomberg Businessweek's Sheelah Kolhatkar reports that a breakfast with Republican donors on in Tampa Thursday, Rove joked, "We should sink Todd Akin. If hes found mysteriously murdered, dont look for my whereabouts!"

Akin is now due an apology from Rove.
I know, right? Go away. You’re not interesting anymore.
I’m kind of sick of seeing Rove’s face on TV every day. He has nothing new to offer. Out with the old - in with the new.
George Bush was destroyed by their plan not to respond to anything.
It was the stupidest political move of any president ever. I assume Rove was the engineer of that.
http://uscode.house.gov/download/pls/18C41.txt ~ that particular piece of news says it’s a felony ~ Akin is still a member of the House.
That wouldn’t necessarily stop Akin. A dead guy won that seat once before.
The liberal RNC and the Romney campaign should now dump Rove for intimating that Akin should be murdered and that he could be the one to do it. I think this is at least as big a gaffe as Akin’s.
Hey—I’ve got a couple of bucks to put toward taking down Rove.
(Sauce for the goose, and all that.)
I read this news earlier today.
I immediately sent a donation to Todd Akin as my answer to Karl Rove.
I urge all conservatives to go to Akin.org and contribute to his campaign. We must stand up to the RINO’s.
Rove is Evil. He wants Akin gone because Akin is not gonna play Rhino.
Well get used to them they’re all Romney and Ryan’s foreign policy advisers.
Not surprising.
The Bush family is “progressive”.
Rove is tightly entwined with the Bush family.
Progressives like to murder their opponents, either singly, or by the millions, as circumstances deem appropriate.
I would much have preferred Akin to quit, but he had a right to stay. Continuing to pile on is a stupid strategy. It was thinking like this that cost the Republicans Ted Stevens seat in Alaska after he was wrongly convicted (later overturned) just prior to the election.
I would contribute to Akin and will after Sept. 25, but I am afraid he will yet yield to the liberals and exit the race.
Thanks for this news!
What is rhyno?
Democrats are a mite hypocrisy bound about this aren’t they? Surely Akin’s opponent has said a stupid thing or two?
The GOP is far more sensitive to scandal than the Rats are.
It ain’t easy being clean (or trying to be).
That said, I believe Akin did confess that he had been mistaken? If sincere, that ought to be the end of the brouhaha.
Little furry one, R.I.N.O. means Republican In Name Only. One who claims allegiance to the party but opposes or makes light of one or more of the party’s significant traditional platform planks.
Sometimes that is put as Rhino.
Don’t let a Rhino stomp on you. You’ll be a kitten pancake.
