“If this speech can be compared to one of his movies, it’s gotta be Every Which Way But Loose. Just substitute a chair for the orangutan.

Just like that film, a lot of people saw it and said they enjoyed it, but deep down, they know it was not very good.”

I disagree, if you thought Clint’s appearance was not good, then you were not paying attention to his message. Just like many folks who only see whats on the surface, just like folks who turn their nose up at someone less fortunate, or less attractive.

I realize there was a message. Problem is, it was constantly meandering and sometimes incoherent. Perhaps it was because it did not meet my expectations.

I was prepared for something more like his "Halftime In America" commercial or maybe a critique of Obama similar to Zell Miller's scathing review of Kerry in 2004.

It just seemed odd to me. The speech was good in the same way Andy Kaufman was a comedic genius. It's highly subjective.
