Inspired by a strong sense of duty to country,
Mandel enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves in 2000, where he graduated
first in his class from Marine Corps Boot Camp and first in his class from
Marine Corps Intelligence School. His Marine Corps career spanned eight years,
including two tours in Anbar Province, Iraq. During both tours he was awarded
the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal for "superior performance of his
duties."

This race is summed up very well in Josh's own words on the problems in Washington and the
need for a change:

"Sherrod Brown has been a politician since Richard Nixon was president, if Sherrod Brown was the answer to our problems,
they would have been solved long ago."

There isn’t a clearer contrast in a Senate race in America than the Mandel vs. Brown race in Ohio.
With the 2012 election about the future direction of the country, and with
Ohioans rallying around Josh Mandel’s insurgent campaign to shake up Washington,
we must be willing to fight the attacks from the left and support a true
American who is ready to lead this country back.

Josh Mandel has never backed down when his country called him to duty, and he won’t
back down now.  The choice is clear.

Please help us support Josh Mandel so we
can take back the Senate

from RealClearPolitics:

Gravis Marketing and Capitol Correspondent conducted a survey of 1,381 registered voters on the afternoon and evening of September 2, 2012 in the state of Ohio.

*snip*

...before the Republican convention, Democrat Sherrod Brown held a narrow 43.6% to 41.4% lead over Republican Josh Mandel. Again, although within the margin of error, the postconvention poll gives Republican Mandel the advantage at 44.3% to 43.5%, representing a 3 point bump for Mandel, while Brown’s take staying basically constant. Both polls continue to indicate that the undecided voters will decide the outcome of the election.
