DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz crashes RNC

by Francesca Chambers

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz made a surprise visit to the Republican National Convention Center (RNC) in Tampa Thursday afternoon.

Shultz somehow made it through the massive security perimeter of the convention and into the convention center where the press corps is being housed this week. The convention center is next door to the Tampa Times Forum where the official RNC activities are taking place.

Dozens of reporters crowded Shultz, who was wearing a distinguishable pink suit, as she walked down the hallway of the convention center and into the Google Lounge set up inside the bloggers room. Shultz made a brief statement to cameras inside the Google Lounge about the need to support the nation’s veterans, and then promptly walked out of the room. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) also spoke at the briefing about the war in Afghanistan.

The DNC and its surrogates have an office located just outside the security perimeter of the convention, where they have been holding briefings for reporters since Tuesday. However, the DNC chair herself had not been present at any of the party committee’s shenanigans until today.

How Wasserman Shultz, who is extremely recognizable, especially to political insiders at the convention, made it into the convention perimeter, with aides, is a mystery. Most likely, the DNC had operatives obtain guest passes to the convention that they later transferred to DWS.

What's the odds that the press let her in? Or maybe they lured her with peanuts.

My No. 1 thing with Paul is he hates Israel. Idiot.

What Longbow said.

Add to that the senile old geezer is an isolationist loon who refuses to see who the bad guys are, and is just fine with Iran having The Bomb.

I won’t even start to get into his racism, antisemitism, and hatred for Israel.

I want to make money

I will under Romney

I want Israel to be safe, Iran to be taken out or neutralized, and our defense built back up to Reagan’s standards.

Funny I mentioned Reagan...Paul has some awful things to say about Ronaldus Magnus.

The best thing I can say about Ron Paul is that I look forward to reading his obituary.

This also is nothing but extreme desperation from left-wing extremists! Obama has NOTHING to run on and they know it!

I dismiss anything Paul says.

So I don’t buy his “return to the Founding Fathers” schtick.

You’re supporting a grifter.

I want to make money. Israel is the legitimate home of the chosen people, and Jerusalem is its indivisible capitol which was bastardized by the dome of the rock.

If we could somehow insulate the freedom loving people of Iran, of which I believe there are millions, the mullahs and the rest of the country should be turned into a sheet of glass, right after we do the same to Saudi.

See, I can be reasonable.

All I want is a Free Republic. What do you want?

I am a conservative with libertarianish leanings. I don't detest Paul and his minions for being libertarian, I detest them for being a conspiratorial, mean spirited, destructive force trying to worm their way into the party. The "liberty" movement's descent into tin foil hat moonbattery I blame directly on Ron Paul for refusing to denounce the crazies that seem attracted to him.

Other than maintaining a massive military, defense of the nation being one of the few thing the Federal Government should do, I'd slash pretty much everything else in government to the bone. I am defense and foreign policy hawk, but pretty much think most everything else should be returned to the states. I am pro-life and believe in traditional values, but for the most part I don't much care what people do so long as they don't bother me or make me pay their way. Personally, I'd eliminate most entitlements, but at minimum I'd let the states run the social safety net. The states having to compete with one another should limit the scope of these programs all on its own (which is precisely why the left want the Feds to do all this stuff).

Just to be completely clear. I don't hate libertarians. They have their party and more power to them. I do not like Ron Paul, but I hate the movement his supporters have created even more. I've had to deal with these people and my experience has been 100% bad. Seriously, go read their forums sometime. Half the discussions seem aimed at how disrupt the convention. And their whining about being disenfranchised is bunk. Paul got 10% of the primary vote (better than half were not even real Republicans btw) and he wound up with roughly that percentage of delegates. These Paul crap-weasels were trying to get more delegates than they deserved by using lax local and state conventions rules against the GOP. Hopefully we've learned our lesson and work to fully exclude these people going forward.

It's very possible to loathe Ron Paul because of his luv for faggotry and Islam, his duplicity, and hatred of Jews, and hate Rombag and RINO-huge government anti-Constitutional excess. Very possible.

Throw her to the payment outside.

OOPS pavement

I'm not sure why, but I rather like the idea of throwing her to the payment.

Trimming government doesn’t mean you have to close down anything, but we can hope that useless wasted agencies are downsized or cut out all together.

You paultards actually believed that Paul would be able to do the things you all would say? Then you’ve been smoking too much weed. He would have to become king to enact most of the things he promised you guys. If you all are such constitutionalists you would know that the president doesn’t have such powers.

Cutting up things just because some idiot truther said it would solve problems is crazy. Taking an ax to something that requires a surgeon’s scalpel is also stupid.

Anyone who is so delusional to think that a libtard like Paul is a conservative or a strict constitutionalist is out of their minds.

I wasn’t a Rombot but I sure as hell would never be stoned enough to be a Paulbot truther.

Too bad there isn’t a half decent candidate to vote for.

Of course, there is a steaming piece of muzzie/commie excrement to vote AGAINST.

"How Wasserman Shultz, who is extremely recognizable, . . ."

But apparently not recognizable enough for the insiders to learn how to spell her name.
