“Since I live in Missouri, I knew darn well had Akin said anything close to what was accused the local media would have given old crazy commie Claire hours of free media to bash Akin. IT has not happened...
Actually, I am reallllllly tired of all the ‘national’ advise getting dumped out over the Akin foot and mouth episode.”
This resident of Missouri agrees with you. I REALLY get tired of those non-SOCONS on FR that are Akin bashers when they don’t even have a vote here.
BTW - I have been donating to Akin since the flare-up. The more non-SOCONS bash him on FR or in the GOPe...the more I donate.
“The Libs are holding their fire until September 25th”
You obviously do not read the St. Louis Post-Disgrace (Not that I blame you) or watch the local TV news here. They have been hammering Akin daily since the Jaco interview.
Are you a lib or just a typical NooBee?
Glad to hear from ONE WHO GETS it. I stopped reading all the vile comments on the Akin threads from those outside the state. This thing is not over by a long shot.
However, I respect a fighter. Akin has shown that he can take the heat and not back down. I think a lot of Missouri voters will feel the same way when the go to the polls in November. So I wish Akin luck and hope he picks up the seat for us after all.
Thanks for the clarification!
I was wondering if it might be true.
I mean, after all, it apparently works for gay guys..............
SHOW ME the proof!
Me thinks you are more right than you realize. The night he won the primary he said that his candidacy was going to be about Freedom versus Bigger Government, More Freedom and Less Government versus Less Freedom and More Government.
That is not exactly the GOPe message this election cycle, is it???
This is bogus...Dangus got that from an article by “The Daily Currant” which is a satire blog!!!
Wonder when the next Rasmussen and Mason-Dixon polls come out on Akin vs. McCaskill? Will be curious if there is movement toward parity from Rasmussen (Ma up 10) to Mason-Dixon(Ma up 9)?
The poll showing Akin rising again should be a signal for Hannity etc to frantically try to slap him down again lest the ladies on the networks accuse him of sharing Akin’s imputed views. I will listen to Hannity today. He is the only guy I can listen to now because of my schedule and availabilities in the local area. I expect him to at least sideswipe Akin if not bludgeon him. For Consservatives why does it seem that the most feared enemies are on the right?
I have been paying attention to what is said and what gets done. Which is why I was so irritated with Akin letting a liberal get him to say things that he should have known were going to cause a whirlwind. And why I keep saying that Christ said to be as harmless as a dove (do not unnecessarily agitate the enemy) and wiser than the serpent.
There is None and dangus's comment #7 was henceforth Removed by the Moderator...
and he has been sent to the woodshed.
“However, I respect a fighter.”
And we’ve got to respect the voters in local elections, too. He sure did make a screwball statement. But if his constituents want that from their representative, then that’s what they should have. That’s what being a Republic is all about.
Bless you, I am done relying on the national politicians. And while I am still irritated with Akin I am not going to dump him.
Ah, well bless the Moderator!!! I'm not sure what you mean by the comment he has been sent to the woodshed.
Something will definitely have to give — they cannot be that far apart if the internals are similar.
Just Kidding
But a comment being removed is somewhat of a rebuke, like a visit to the woodshed used to be.
