TAMPA-- Former Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice implored Republicans to champion a "compassionate" immigration policy in her speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday.
"We must continue to welcome the world's most ambitious people to be a part of us. In that way we stay young and optimistic and determined," Rice said. "We need immigration laws that protect our borders; meet our economic needs; and yet show that we are a compassionate people."

So we add liar to her portfolio ?
I understand politics just fine but thanks for making my point.
Those paying attention understand they've been had by this production.
Again,m like I ask all of you bluenoses here....
Do you want to win?
Yes or no....don’t wait for the translation.
Yes or no?
She did NOT use a teleprompter tonight. She used notes.
She wants no part of politics. She is happy being back at Stanford. If she wanted a position in any GOP administration, it would be hers.
She wants to be NFL commissioner and of course has recently been named as one of two women admitted to the Augusta Golf Club and will get her green jacket in October.
BTW, she speaks several languages.
You can go cry in your beer.
I’m gonna work to defeat Zero.
That means supporting Romney this time around.
If you don’t its a vote for Zero.
Don’t believe he’s in my market.
Of her whole fantastic speech this is what they latch on to.
Losers.
I don’t like liars and you are coming off as a complete liberal.
You haven’t made a single conservative comment because you aren’t conservative at all.
You sound like a liberal, ignore the facts, whatever, she disgusts me, as does anyone who ever fawned over Obama
Well, you’ve got to go to war with the army you’ve got. Right?
What is the point - at this point - of not charging with all we’ve got?
I will do what Mark Levin and others suggest - vote for the most conservative candidate who can win. And where I live it’s pretty much a moot point, unfortunately. But that doesn’t mean I can’t complain, fight, try to help and make it clear to everyone why I think what I think...whether they agree or not.
Going back to days you come from, at least your tag, people came/immigrated then and for many years to America to be free to make their own way no doubt without interference or giving fruits of labor to others under government edict. Today immigration is for most with the intention of getting livelihood at someone else’s expense. This includes so called family support.
Wait a minute, was this the GOP or Democrat convention?
"We must continue to welcome the world's most ambitious people to be a part of us. In that way we stay young and optimistic and determined,"
Immigration policies used to be that the legal, orderly that queued in line were ambitious, had sponsors (family, neighbors, community, church/temple), had jobs, determined to assimilate the American dream, the American culture. Those immigrants revitalized our society/culture, bringing new creative ideas, a hunger for the 'pursuit of happiness'.
Nowadays, (due to the Kennedy quotas' initiatives) immigration is offered to the dumb, dependent, depressed and Democrat. The 'pursuit of happiness' has evolved to represent 'what can you do for Meeeeeeee.
“stuff it”
Intelligent rhetoric you got going. If you support Rice, then you should apologize to your “rat” friends, cause that’s hypocrisy...
Can I be blunt?
So damn what? That means zip.
I and many others could speak of what legitimately ills this country without teleprompters, or notes easily for 4 GD hours solid, with legitimate concern, backed by ugly facts. Of course I have no history of questionable conduct or bad policy but I am not backed, supported or bankrolled by the billion dollar insiders club.
I really wish she would just come out and say “let the illegal aliens stay” and be done with it.
You can live in your guaranteed to lose “little tent”. Adios.
Thank you for exposing your”big tent” self... RINO...
Just a tip, RINOS.don’t win presidential elections. I might vote Romney/Ryan but it won’t matter they are screwing over the base.... So apparently their tent isn’t very big either.
Gezzz..Ya just can't get rid of the Bush doctrine...Flood the entire country with legal and illegal foreigners, during wartime no less and tell the tens of millions underemployed or unemployed who've made the wheel turn, to just go away and freaking die.
BOOM you nailed it!
