Yahoo news director David Chalian was fired today after he was caught making an offensive comment on an open mic. Chalian was caught saying of the RNC convention, which took place as hurricane Issac hit New Orleans, "They are happy to have a party with black people drowning."
->snip<-
Perusing Chalian's biography, I found this: "As part of the team that traveled to Alaska to produce Sarah Palin's first television interview as the GOP vice presidential nominee (with ABC News' Charlie Gibson), Chalian received an Emmy Award nomination."
This is the infamous gotcha interview in which Gibson stared down his reading glasses at Palin and demanded a definition of the Bush doctrine. It's also the interview in which Gibson confronted Palin with a partial quote and, when she claimed it wasn't accurate, snapped, "Exact words."
GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church, Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God. Are we fighting a holy war?
PALIN: You know, I dont know if that was my exact quote.

This POS is the norm in the mainstream media. A bunch of two bit punks, over educated at the finest schools. Who will hire this spoiled brat next?
Believe me, everyone who has attacked Sarah will meet their due sooner or later. It’s a law that no one can change “What you sow you reap, MORE than you sow, LATER than you sow”.
Wonder when it’s harvest time for Romney. He’ll need his minions to help him to carry the ‘load’.
As much as I like what Andrew did.....many of us were saying for years...that that the MSM is our enemy.

Yes. They wanted to destroy Palin more than they wanted to win the presidency.
He is still a professor at Georgetown..
They didn’t ruin her. She’s alive and well and actively campaigning for conservatives while they are still pulling out the thorn in their side. They are hell bent on ruining America and she is the person who represents America along w/Newt. And, yes, it’s all on purpose and very easy because they have help from the GOPe.
Gibson always acts like a condescending jackass..its in his nature
Well said and true.
I still have high hopes for Sarah, but she’s very damaged personally. It’ll take a lot more years to rehabilitate her image if she wants to run herself. Meanwhile, she’s been invaluable to the movement getting good Congresscritters elected.
I have to wonder why mccain picked her. Were they afraid she was an up and comer and they wanted to clip her wings?
Job in the White Hut
Did anyone drown due to Hurricane Issac?
I have to wonder why mccain picked her. Were they afraid she was an up and comer and they wanted to clip her wings? The same reason Romney picked Paul Ryan, to bolster his conservative bona fides.
But they wanted someone they could control; what the got was a force of nature.
I believe that. What other gov had 83% favorable rating and all she was able to do in Alaska. Remember the GOP guy in Alaska she exposed? They knew her rep. Corruption from either side she will take to task. TRULY an honest, who cannot be bought politician. And they can’t have that!!
Thanks for posting. Interesting connection.
They knew long before that she couldn't be controlled! They knew her reputation in Alaska. They started trashing her right out of the gate in Aug '08 - they/GOPe were prepared to do this.
WRONG!! What is damaged is your thinking process. How many more years will it take to rehabilitate that?
Sarah has NOT been damaged - through it all - it showed how CLEAN and HONEST she is. They stooped so low to move in right next door to her/family, examine her 25,000 emails, brought her up on 13 separate times - ALL CLEAN. I like them to do that to you. And that's merely the tip of the iceberg!
She is THE MOST scrutinized politician in America, past present and future. I'm not even touching on what they did to her family.
ALL SO ROMNEY could have a clear path to the WH!
You are correct. What, indeed, made me think posting what I think on this thread was a good idea? That's where it breaks down.
