Reading between the lines on this APe puff piece, it appears that for some mysterious reason, far fewer people want to hear this doofus read from his teleprompter than did in 2008, even among the most liberal and entitled masses.

“More than 26,000 people combined showed up to hear the president speak during his three-state college town tour this week” Now they add up all of the events, need to get to a respectable number I guess!

They were passing out free rubbers to the girls and free toenail polish to the boys.

Thinking I was going to see something happening at the Republican Convention, I turned on C-Span this afternoon only to catch the ending of Obama's speech at UVA. I couldn't believe the students behind him clapping and smiling. Obama, of course, was full of what he was going to give to various groups, even in the 4 minutes that I saw.

The most heartening thing was the call to C-Span from someone named Matt, head of UVA's college Republicans. He said that there had been an activities fair a few days before at which their table had lots more people signing up that at the Dem table. The College Republicans held a counter rally at a park near Obama's speech, neither of which were on campus. The University had rejected a request to hold it on campus, according to Matt. I'm glad there are Young Republicans on college campuses.

So the headline could just as easily read:

Interest in Hearing Obama has Plummeted. or
Obama Generates Little Enthusiasm Among College Students. or
The Numbers Say Obama’s Campaign is Derailed.

What everyone should be asking is why is President Obysmal campaigning when there is this little disaster happening in New Orleans?

“Aides suggest the numbers are purposely being kept low, citing the cost of holding larger events and the president’s desire to travel to smaller cities in battleground states.”

Absolute bullish*t. He’s plummeting.
