The most heartening thing was the call to C-Span from someone named Matt, head of UVA's college Republicans. He said that there had been an activities fair a few days before at which their table had lots more people signing up that at the Dem table. The College Republicans held a counter rally at a park near Obama's speech, neither of which were on campus. The University had rejected a request to hold it on campus, according to Matt. I'm glad there are Young Republicans on college campuses.
So the headline could just as easily read:
Interest in Hearing Obama has Plummeted. or
Obama Generates Little Enthusiasm Among College Students. or
The Numbers Say Obama’s Campaign is Derailed.
What everyone should be asking is why is President Obysmal campaigning when there is this little disaster happening in New Orleans?
