cool beans
I wouldn’t put too much confidence in a poll that had internals as wacky as this one.
If this is true, then this is truly bad news for Obama.
Our GOPe go-along posters here are going to have an absolute fit. They promised us Akin was DONE. I’m sure they’ll try twice as hard to destroy him though after reading this. After all, it’s what Rove and Romney want.
Those internals reflect the electorate of the state of Missouri.
What internals do you have issue with?
Good to hear. You go Todd!
I’d like to believe it because McCaskill really needs to be booted.
The poll smells fishy to me, though.
Hang in there, Akin, don’t let the screeching banshees ruin your resolve.
He’d be doing even better if so many conservative hadn’t fled from him like chickens.
According to the poll, Moderates voters preferred McCaskill 63-22, yet the Very Liberal preferred her by only a 58-34 margin.
I don’t find this believable. There is no way on election day, 34% of the very liberal voters in MO vote for Akin. Either the got a weird sampling, or the Very Liberal voters were purposely distorting their response to prop up Akin until he can no longer drop out.
Very cool.
The problem with Akin is that he’ll keep making mistakes. The ‘legitmate rape’ idiocy was not an isolated incident. It’s part of a pattern that will now receive enormous scrutiny.
The best strategy for him at this point is to disappear, so that the focus can move back to McCaskill. He should not campaign at all. Reporters will only ask him about rape and then write articles about it. Akin should move into his basement and only come out after the elections.
Now the big question and test, is if Akin can keep his mouth and “wisdom” shut about abortion and rape, and focus on the real issue of getting Claire McCaskill out of the Senate.
bttt
Thanks NYer.
“The problem with Akin is that hell keep making mistakes. The legitmate rape idiocy was not an isolated incident. Its part of a pattern that will now receive enormous scrutiny.” With NO thanks to the RNC and the GOPe who did an Alinksy on this good conservative man!
Exactly all he has to do, is to keep his mouth shut and not delve and pontificate about abortion and rape, and focus on Claire McCaskill.
He wins, unless he has a knit to pick with the GOP.
“There is no way on election day, 34% of the very liberal voters in MO vote for Akin”
Bingo! They are just telling the pollster they’ll vote for Akin to encourage him to stay in the race. If he’s running 40 points behind among moderates, he doesn’t stand a chance.
