I think what Rove is saying is this: use the campaign to highlight the strengths of the ticket and to personalize Romney to the voters. There will be plenty of time to destroy Obama’s record. In fact, the Cross Roads ads that have run in Virginia have been absolutely brutal with respect to Obama’s record.

I agree. This Convention is to introduce the REAL Mitt Romney, family man, man of high morals, generous to his fellow man, loving and supportive husband. In short to humanize him and repair the damage done by the attacks made against him.

Secondly it is to lay out his vision for the future of the country. I believe Christie and even Ann Romney highlighted the failures of the current Adninistration without ever having to mention Obama's name.
