A veritable "Where's Where"...
The men who fell at the Alamo March 6, 1836
Men came from all over, including Missouri.
One of the last couriers out was from Missouri.
Surviving Couriers & Foragers
Allen later served as a scout with Deaf Smith at San Jacinto and was Captain of the Texas (Buckeye) Rangers.
Too many forget the ties that bind.
By the way, in that previous post asking the question about McCaskill’s liberal vote split, I wasn’t questioning the poll results, just that weird split.
I expect Akin to win, and have said so in here from the beginning.
That doesn’t stop him from hammering McCaskill with that same money. This is politics and I’m suspicious of this poll. Let’s wait to cheer until we get some independent confirmation - as independent as we can find.
GOP 34.1
INDY 33.2
I said give it a week for the reaction to play out.
(Granted, I was told "It's been three days already and look at it!" -- that wasn't played out though.)
The political WHORES in Washington want, above all else, TO WIN! Rinse Prepubescent will eat his words and help Akin all he quietly can. If necessary, he will publicly eat crow.
Republicans burned all the Akin bridges and now have to swim back across the huge moat they dug.
If you don’t like the real numbers...make up your own.
Nope.
These numbers reflect the Missouri electorate pretty accurately:
DEM 32.7 GOP 34.1 INDY 33.2

there you go again!
...insisting on actually reading the source article,
and providing that information calmly and accurately to others...
FREEPERS very saddened by the news. There bashing of a great patriotic conservative didn’t work. On to phase two. Every jerk who bashed Akin deserves to be zotted and I hope it happens. They better feel guilty at least.
I found the latest Rassmussen Poll-dated August 23, 2012. Had Ma up 48% to Akin-38%.
All legit points. Still, I’d like to see a 34,32,34 (D,R,I) split.
The FRC poll does seem optimistic. But after all the pounding, I’ll take any/all good news.
Romney does not want this man in the Senate; guess R. will get busy and get rid of Todd Akin who is pro-life.
I hate to see stupid people elected to the Senate, but I’d rather have a Republican idiot than a Democratic one.
Whatever works.
How about all the pantywaist Republicans just SHUT UP!
Old news. That poll documented nothing more than a knee jerk reaction. The next one will be the one to watch for.
It would be great news and a miracle if this is really an accurate poll.
I would be real nice to see other recent polls for comparison.
My guess is if it is close the RNC despite what was said will quietly funnel money to Akin.
I find it interesting that yesterday Preibus (sp) said Akin woulde get no funding, “even if the race were tied”. Apparently he knew something then which leads me to believe the RNC is on top of this race despite the public statements being released.
“very quietly, the RNC will fund him, when it dies down.”
Of course.
Money is fungible, they can tell a big pocket donor “Give the money to Akin instead” and fund him that way without a trace.
If he doesn’t need the money even better it can go to someone who does.
But I think this will be a close race now.
Crosstabs on this poll are very interesting. There are a lot of self identified Republicans who are saying they are undecided. I believe that number is 13%. I can not possibly envision these people voting for McCaskill. If they return to the flock as I expect they will this will bode very, very well for Akin.
