Reagan campaigned to democrats as a conservative. Willard campaigns to democrats as a liberal.
Willard’s operatives went to my liberal sister’s house multiple times she said they sounded like they were from the Obama campaign they were so liberal.
Also interesting about the Reagan video is the informal crowd.
Again the “Paulers” did not take the actions to change the rules. The elites have had it on their agenda to silence the conservative and tea party movements since they began. The types of actions they are taking have long term consequences. If you think they did not understand the ramifications to their actions then you are not looking at the situation objectively.
and thus, is why Mittens is flailing like a fish, when faced with a Pseudo-Democrat and the Real thing, they will ALWAYS choose the 100% Socialist and you can't get much more left wing than Ubama.

To those who say this was to smack down the Paulites better get wise. This was more than smacking Paul supporters, the “collateral damage” and consolidation of RNC power means that grass roots stays in the ghetto. They are also front loading the primaries as winner take tall.
Conclustion: GOPe will keep pushing their superpac funded establishment candidates (hello JEB!!!).
THere is a lot of grassroot objection to the rules changes as well, but yes, it is being driven by Ron Paul supporters, and sadly that is also why it had to be defeated. The Tea Party would have done much better if the paul supporters weren’t trying to cause so much trouble.
It’s like how a good group of peaceful protestors can be overcome by putting a few violent ones in their midst, “provoking” a police response.
Anyway, I wasn’t surprised by the Maine delegation move, there was a lot of issues about how the Maine delegates were chosen to begin with. Some of it was sadly apathy amongst the first-tier winners, with the paul supporters being much more dedicated and following through on the process.
So for example, according to the preference polls taken at caucuses, the projection was that Romney would get 11 delegates, and Ron Paul 10. But with the Paul people pretending to support Romney, and using every trick at their disposal, by the time all the conventions were done, they had 20 of the 24 delegates, in a state where polls showed Romney was preferred by the republicans by a sizable margin.
So yes, it is a bad thing that they are replacing delegates. But it’s the lack of control of the state delegate selection process (meaning the lack of a good, understandable and fair process) that leads to this kind of result.
And yet, I wish they hadn’t replaced delegates. Why stir up a hornet’s nest? Well apparently to avoid another problem — Ron Paul had somehow managed to slip enough delegates into IOWA to try to claim a majority, and there was apparently going to be a fight over nominations. Remember the “5-state rule”? The push was to get Ron Paul a 1/2 hour of nominating speeches attacking the GOP and it’s nominee.
You can tell from watching CNN — they are running a “twitter tracker” and all the tweets they are picking are Paul supporters trashing the GOP, trashing Romney, calling for a mass defection from the party, etc. Not the kind of people you want at your nominating convention — a convention which, whether you like it or not, is about SUPPORTING THE PARTY.
I’m fine with people NOT supporting the party. But if you don’t, then don’t show up at the PARTY CONVENTION, and complain and moan and try to destroy the party from within.
What are you gonna do about it? Answer: Call hateful epithets to people that don’t agree with you?
Voting for Romney is the same as voting for Obama; Soros was right.
I will vote conservative and ROMBAMA is not conservative.

I never said that they took the actions to change the rules, they were challenging the nomination on the floor. The plan was to demand a brokered convention. They knew that they didn’t have much of doing that, but they plan was to cause as much damage to Mitt Romney as they could.
You can tell yourself whatever you please, but this was all planned out, months in advance. The conservatives should been prepared and worked things out before the convention. I don’t even think that Romney anticipated the problem with the social conservatives, he was so focused on the Paulers.
All you have to do is go any of the media sites and see Ron Paul’s face and that joker grin on his face. The man is evil. He’s a narcissist, just like Obama and Clinton.
Yeah, it’s unfortunate all right. It’s unfortunate that so many conservatives believed that they had allies in the Ron Paul camp. If you watched the posts here on FreeRepublic, you saw that it was the Paulers that were knocking out one candidate after the other, not Mitt Romney supporters. We didn’t have many Mitt Romney supporters on Free Republic. Now, we have more ABOs than real Romney supporters.
The fact is that the Tea Party was started by Paulers, in the very early stages. The conservatives kind of took it over right away because the Libertarians are more anarchist than conservative.
Geez, that Ron Paul grin really does remind me of the Joker. Someone should do a photoshop of Ron Paul as the Joker. I don’t care if it does bring back memories of the Colorado shooting. Heck, the Colorado delegation deserves this, they were leading it.
Well then Mr. Romney just did all the damage to himself with this attempt to change the rules. They call that cheating. Unless Ron Paul had the delegates why was Romney so worried? If you seriously feel he was played for a fool by the Ron Paul people you might want to consider the fact that Romney really is a fool.

You know and I know that’s not true. When the republicans took over the house in 2010, they voted to rescind the incandescent lightbulb ban, and the measure failed. If these traitors can’t even give us back a bloody lightbulb, there’s no chance of these clowns stopping anything Buckwheat has planned for us. It’s time to fall back to the states and set up a battle line to take on the fat-ass criminal fascist syndicate occupying Washington.

TO some degree, I think that is because the two of them understand what is really important in this election, and it’s not a bunch of rules that will get re-addressed by the next chair of the RNC, just like Michael Steele did his own re-working of the rules before this primary.
It’s stupid for Romney’s folks to be doing this, and it is just going to muddy the messaging, but on the other hand, maybe they know something about what the Paul folks were going to do that makes it worthwhile.
I wish one of these articles would actually post a concise list of the rules changes, so we could see what everybody is up in arms about. It’s clear something is being done — every grass-roots organization I subscribe to has been flagging this as an issue. But none are actually telling me what specific things we should be objecting to.
