I’m really out of sort with this guy Davis, but what happened to make him switch? This is the first time I hear about him. I guess been out of the loop recently.
I really don’t know why he left or the back story on it either.
Artur Davis was my congressman here in Alabama. I’m in a district that is probably 80% black. Davis was an odd duck from the get go. I’m really surprised he won the seat but the guy he beat (the incumbent)is a real race baiting nutcase. Davis is pro 2nd amendment and voted against Obamacare. He ran for the dem nomination for governor, but he’d gone off the reservation and the Alabama Dem party (including the blacks)would not support him because of his “sins”. They nominated a white guy who was whipped by the republican. I think Davis would have stood a decent chance of winning. I know quite a few people who would have least given him a look.
After the dem party did that to him, he basically said the hell with it and moved to Va. He’s one of few dems that has a clue. I’m glad to welcome him to the “right” side.
