What is a lie is the amount of savings the individual will enjoy due to the better gas mileage. How will all the roads and bridges be repaired if no one is paying high taxes (gasoline)? They will figure and are in the process (GPS) of keeping up the revenue stream. They will start promoting that if they had not done this look at how much it would be costing us......There will be no savings!!!

Yes, the mileage tax and also the tax to enter a city.

It sort of amuses me that a Prius or Volt or Tesla owner would pay more in taxes than I would with my Grand Cherokee. I drive less than 5K miles a year.

The tax is silly, of course.

It would be less silly if they got rid of the fuel tax and went to a mileage tax, but they won’t.

I would really like to see the reaction of the Prius/Leaf drivers to paying a mileage tax...it’s almost worth it just to listen to them holler...
