Amen to that...I don't believe the country can abide another 4 years of him and his thugs.

Yes, the mileage tax and also the tax to enter a city.
It sort of amuses me that a Prius or Volt or Tesla owner would pay more in taxes than I would with my Grand Cherokee. I drive less than 5K miles a year.
The tax is silly, of course.
It would be less silly if they got rid of the fuel tax and went to a mileage tax, but they won’t.
I would really like to see the reaction of the Prius/Leaf drivers to paying a mileage tax...it’s almost worth it just to listen to them holler...

The only obstacle to hydrogen is the distribution infrastructure. Unfortunately, that will be what takes decades to create.
I've been a hydrogen advocate for forty years, since when I was studying chemistry in college.

Vehicles in Europe already get fairly good mileage. I always wonder why these models are not made available over here. That being said, the choice should always be up to the consumer.

You know what else would be good? If the government were to put a massive amount of resources into an effort to find a powerful source of energy produced with a natural resource which we have in abundance right here in the United States. If they were to gather together the greatest minds in science and engineering to accomplish this task. Kind of a
Manhattan Project.
Oh wait, the government already did that. They called it the Manhattan Project.

I've been a hydrogen advocate for forty yearsThere's a name for what you are advocating. It's called Reinventing the Wheel.
Petroleum products have proved themselves to be a source of automotive fuel that is unparalleled. Not only that, the infrastructure has been in place for 75 years. Not only that, but we have enough right here in the U.S. to last for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
So dream on.

Mandate 100 trillion light years per nanoliter of gas - problem solved. Any flaw in this logic ?
