I think he has a point about suggesting it be one page. Why can’t they just have a list of “bullet points” that express what the party principles are? The trouble with platforms is the same problem we have with legislation. It is written by lawyers with lengthy “legalize” and the lawyers get paid large hourly fees for making it as long and complicated as they can.

You’re absolutely right. There is lots of evidence out there that suggests that, generally, people glance at things and make a snap decision whether or not they’re going to spend time looking something over. One page with bullets would increase the likelhood of people reading the document.
