So you’re saying that the Paulites proposed these rule changes to the Rules Committee? Is that what you’re saying?
No, they threatened to disrupt the nomination of Romney, to delay it and disrupt the whole convention schedule.
They were threatening a floor battle over the nomination.
“So youre saying that the Paulites proposed these rule changes to the Rules Committee? Is that what youre saying?”
I think this loyal comrade is asking “Who killed Kirov?”.
Revanchist Paulite wreckers and saboteurs is the correct answer. Their numbers are vast, and they are an imminent threat to the State!
They were threatening a floor battle over the nomination.
What they do is keep raising objections and proposing amendments, forcing vote after vote, dragging out the whole convention into the wee hours of the night, until people get bored and go home, unless someone puts a stop to it.
That was the plan for this convention. It would have been the first time that they tried it at the national convention, but we have seen it at the state conventions. We have had Libertarian delegates who had to be removed from the floor.
Our local GOP limited the debate in the last convention by proposing a very vague, short platform that couldn’t get picked apart.
